Approval Process

  • When an application has been recommended for approval by CORSO it is presented to the Director of the Center for Leadership & Involvement for final approval.
  • RSOs may not discriminate against any potential members on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, or other factors irrelevant to participation in programs of the University.  RSOs are responsible for ensuring that their organizations do not participate in any hazing activities.
  • All RSOs must provide updated contact information to the Center for Leadership & Involvement through Blueprint and participate in a yearly re-application process in order to maintain "Active" status and remain eligible for services offered through the Center for Leadership & Involvement and the University.
  • If recommended for approval , you will be asked to meet with your new advisor, sent a link to build a Blueprint page, and invited to attend a student leader training during the Spring Quarter.  Each new RSO will be required to send two representatives. These meetings and trainings are required, as part of the new RSO application process.

If you have any questions about applying to become an RSO, please feel free to contact Karen Pryor at kcp@uchicago.edu.
