Peer Advisors

The Center for Leadership and Involvement maintains a team of Peer Advisors.  This team of experienced student leaders will hold daily office hours in the Advising Center (RC 016) and advises the Orange RSOs.  You can contact the Peer Advisors at uchicagopeeradvisors@gmail.com.

Meet the Peer Advisors

Simeon Daferede

4th Year, Major: Political Science

Simeon is a 4th year Political Science major in the college from Winter Haven, Florida.  Simeon is the Chair of the Major Activities Board, and previously worked with the Organization of Black Students and the Institute of Politics.  Outside of campus, he writes and produces music and does graphic designing.


Fendy Guo

2nd Year, Major: Economics and Physics

Fendy is a second year from San Francisco studying Economics and Physics.  On campus, she is involved in the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi.  She is also involved in Campus Catalyst and Alpha Omicron Pi.  She loves to dance, read, and bake brownies in her spare time.


Ryan Guo

3rd Year, Major: Economics

Ryan is a third year majoring in Economics.  On campus, he is involved in the Ransom Notes, University Investment Banking Group, the club volleyball team, and Zeta Psi.  In his free time, he enjoys exploring Chicago and eating lots of food.


Elisabeth Raczek

2nd Year, Major: Undecided

Originally from San Francisco, Elisabeth is a 2nd year who is considering a double major in economics and statistics.  On campus, she is involved in both Maya and University Ballet.  Other than studying, working, and dancing, she enjoys cooking and binge watching a good TV show or having a movie marathon.


Rachel Weinbren

4th Year, Major: Sociology; Minor: Human Rights

Rachel is a fourth year sociology major from Tampa, Florida.  On campus, she is a part of the Council on University Programming, Alpha Phi Omega, Women in Public Service, Bite Magazine, and Hillel.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, watching copious amounts of YouTube videos, and exploring all that Chicago has to offer.
