The Center for Leadership and Involvement provides Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) with access to University-managed financial resources to support student-led programs, events, and initiatives. RSOs receive a University financial account administered through CLI and can access a variety of funding opportunities, including student organization funding committees, annual allocations, fundraising, and other campus resources.
Successful financial management is an important responsibility of RSO leadership. Organization leaders, particularly treasurers and financial officers, are expected to understand University financial procedures, maintain accurate budgets, monitor account balances, and follow appropriate processes for requesting, spending, and depositing funds. All RSO financial activity must occur through University-approved systems and processes to ensure compliance with University policies and responsible stewardship of resources.
RSOs are encouraged to work with their CLI advisor to identify funding opportunities, develop realistic budgets, and plan financially sustainable programs that advance their organization’s mission and contribute to the campus community.
