Women's Leadership Book Club

ASPIRE

The ASPIRE program is designed to equip UChicago students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to take on leadership roles within Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) and other areas of campus life. This six-week course includes workshops, networking opportunities, and interactive sessions with current leaders and campus partners.

Application Timeline:

  • Application Opens: December 2nd, 2024
  • Application Deadline: January 6th, 2025
  • Program Dates: Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm (1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, and 2/25)

Disney Imagination Campus

A 4-day immersive program at Disneyland California comprised of a collection of workshops across a range of topics. Students will learn how to apply their imagination to problem solve and think creatively.

Application Timeline:

  • Application Opens: December 9th, 2024
  • Application Deadline: January 10th, 2025
  • Application Results: January 15, 2025
  • Participation Confirmation: January 20th, 2025
  • Program Dates: March 16-21, 2025

Industry Explorers

Quarterly site visit program that offers students the opportunity to explore various industries and meet leaders in their respective fields. Through these visits, students will gain insight into different industries, learn about current trends, and build valuable connections with inspiring professionals.

RSO Requirements

In order to maintain RSO status, RSOs are required to complete 1) the annual re-registration process, and 2) the annual SOAR RSO Training.

RSO Re-registration

Dates: Re-registration will open on Monday, September 30, 2024 and will close on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Every RSO is required to complete an annual registration process in order to maintain active status and remain eligible for services offered through the Center for Leadership and Involvement and the University including:

  • RSO Advisors
  • Eligibility for Student Government Funding
  • Authorization to post notices to the campus community
  • Host events for the campus community
  • Use Blueprint, the involvement management system, to manage your organization and promote events.

RSO SOAR Training

Each RSO is required to complete an annual training in order to maintain active status.

Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Community Service, and Sports Club RSOs must attend in-person SOAR Training. This will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in Mandel Hall. Your RSO must send only one (1) representative to this training, and they should sign up at this form by 11:59pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

Due to space limitations, RSOs must send only one (1) representative to SOAR. One individual can represent a maximum of two (2) RSOs by attending SOAR Training. Your attendance cannot count for more than two (2) RSOs.
