Dates Every RSO Leader Should Know

Below are dates that every RSO Leader should know to get the most out of their experience: 

2023-2024 Re-Registration

Every Recognized Student Organization (RSO) must complete an annual re-registration process to maintain active status and remain eligible for services offered through the Center for Leadership and Involvement and the University. Note that this process is only for current and approved new RSOs who are completing the annual Registration process to maintain Active status. Students interested in applying to start a new RSO will need to apply for RSO status through CORSO during Fall Quarter. 

Re-Registration will open Monday, September 25th, and close Wednesday, October 11th at 11:59pm. Registration Forms are to be submitted through Blueprint.

2023-2024 SOAR Training

SOAR is the annual RSO training that is required for organizations to maintain recognized status at the University of Chicago.  In this training, students will: learn University policies that pertain to the success of RSOs, meet with their assigned advisor, and understand how their RSO involvement impacts the University and the student body.

Due to space limitations, RSOs must send only one (1) representative to SOAR. One individual can represent a maximum of two (2) RSOs by attending SOAR Training. Your attendance cannot count for more than two (2) RSOs.

Monday, September 25th: SOAR Training Sign-Up Form Opens
Saturday, October 7th: SOAR Training for all RSOs *In-person* at 10am CST in Mandel Hall

Student Activities Resource Fair (SARF)

The Student Activities and Resource Fair (SARF) is your chance to meet representatives from hundreds of Registered Student Organizations (RSO) and campus offices who can share more information on what they do and how you can get involved!

Friday, September 29th from 3:00pm-5:30pm. 
The rain date is Tuesday, October 3rd from 3:00 to 5:30 pm. *
Rain call will be made on Thursday, September 28th* 

2023-2024 Fall Elections for Student Government College Council Representatives

Exact dates are TBA.

Petitions will open via email and be due the following week.

Mandatory Meeting on SG Election Rules will be held during 2nd week.

Elections Tabling will be held during 2nd week.

Ballots will open via email during 2nd week and close during 3rd week. Following ballots, closing votes will be counted.

Spring 2024 Annual Allocations

Annual Allocations (AnnAll) occur once each year from late Winter to mid-Spring Quarters to allocate funds to RSOs for their events and programs planned for the following year.  AnnAll is a companion funding body to SGFC, and each event can only be funded through one process.
