The Center for Leadership and Involvement coordinates access to several electronic resources for your organization:
Computer Lab
The Student Activities Center is home to a computer lab for student organization use. The lab contains both Mac and PC computers along with a suite of software that includes Adobe Creative Suite 5.5.
Mailing Lists
In addition to communicating with members through Blueprint messaging (available in your Roster page), RSOs can use mailing lists to announce events and/or discuss projects and issues. When establishing your RSO email lists, we recommend creating a separate list for those interested in ongoing discussions or internal conversations (e.g. board members, highly active members). It is good practice to keep those lists separate from your general list which you can use to advertise events and maintain connection with your general membership.
Your RSO leadership is responsible for maintaining and updating access to your UChicago Lists. Current leaders are responsible for setting new list owners and moderators during you leadership transition process. CLI staff does not have the ability to update your Lists access, and IT Services will not transfer ownership without communication from your past leadership.
To manage existing lists or to create a new list, please see IT Services Mailing Lists Utility. Please remember to add your RSO advisor to your new list host!
RSO Websites
In addition to your Blueprint page, you can also create a UChicago Website using a new RSO Voices template for student groups. A website can be a great way to publicize your group on- or off-campus, or to share your accomplishments with others around the world.
Only your Blueprint Primary Contact can request new and updated access to your UChicago Website.
To request or make administrative changes to your website, please submit the request directly through University IT Services at https://websites.uchicago.edu/get-started.
The RSO Voices Template is not available as a self-select option through the "Create Your Site" button at voices.uchicago.edu. You will need to submit the above form in order to utilize that template.
For in-person support, visit the IT Services TechBar, located on the first floor of the Joseph Regenstein Library, hours may vary.
